A bold feature colour for Birchgrove courtyard design

By Kim McFayden 5 years agoNo Comments

This project shows what a terrific impact a bold colour can have on a small space. The owners of this award-winning courtyard briefed landscape architects and designers Secret Gardens of Sydney to create and outdoor space for them to entertain in all year round. In summer this courtyard garden is ideal as it is shaded by buildings and towering trees, while in the cooler months the bright orange feature wall creates a feeling of warmth and vibrancy. The feature wall colour also inspired the plant selections, with orange and red flowers the dominant theme.[photography by Peter Brennan]
